Salary: £34,822 – £45,351 + SEND Allowance
About the Role
Teaching Personnel are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Primary Trained SEND Teacher to work full-time in a specialist residential education setting in the Torrington area of North Devon. This is a rewarding opportunity to support children and young people with a range of complex special educational needs in a highly supportive environment.
You will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging, personalised learning tailored to individual EHCP outcomes, helping pupils develop academically, socially, and emotionally.
The Role Includes
- Teaching primary-aged pupils with complex SEND needs
- Delivering differentiated and highly personalised learning programmes
- Supporting pupils with SEMH, autism, and associated learning difficulties
- Working closely with residential care staff, therapists, and SENCOs
- Contributing to EHCP targets and progress reviews
- Creating a safe, structured, and nurturing learning environment
The Ideal Candidate
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – Primary trained
- Experience working with children with SEND
- Strong understanding of autism, SEMH, and complex learning needs
- Calm, resilient, and adaptable approach
- Ability to build positive relationships with vulnerable learners
- Team player with strong communication skills

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
