We are recruiting SEND Pastoral Support Workers / SEND Teaching Assistants to join friendly, supportive schools across the North Bristol area. This is an excellent opportunity for anyone passionate about helping young people with Autism, SEMH, ADHD, communication needs, and behavioural challenges to thrive.

⭐ Key Responsibilities (SEND Pastoral & TA Duties)
- Provide pastoral and emotional support to pupils with SEND
- Support students 1:1 and in small groups with confidence, behaviour, and emotional regulation
- Assist teachers with personalised learning activities, behaviour strategies, and structured routines
- Help create a safe, nurturing school environment where every child feels supported and valued
- Use initiative, remain proactive, and adapt quickly in a fast‑paced SEND setting
- Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils who need consistency and care
- Promote independence, resilience, and positive behaviour choices
⭐ Essential Skills & Experience
- Experience in youth mentoring, sports coaching, behaviour support, or any role supporting young people
- Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills
- Ability to stay calm under pressure and respond with empathy
- A proactive, adaptable, and positive working style
- Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply)
⭐ Desirable (Not Essential)
- Experience in a SEND school, pastoral role, or SEN support
- Understanding of Autism, SEMH, trauma‑informed practice, or behaviour management
- Experience leading activities, coaching, or running sessions
- Driver with access to a car (preferred but not essential)
- Additional training such as safeguarding or first aid

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
