We are recruiting SEND Pastoral Support Workers / SEND Teaching Assistants to join friendly, supportive schools across the North Bristol area. ⭐ Key Responsibilities (SEND Pastoral & TA Duties)

• Provide pastoral and emotional support to pupils with SEND
• Support students 1:1 and in small groups with confidence, behaviour, and emotional regulation
• Assist teachers with personalised learning activities, behaviour strategies, and structured routines
• Help create a safe, nurturing school environment where every child feels supported and valued
• Use initiative, remain proactive, and adapt quickly in a fast‑paced SEND setting
• Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils who need consistency and care
• Promote independence, resilience, and positive behaviour choices

⭐ Essential Skills & Experience

• Experience in youth mentoring, sports coaching, behaviour support, or any role supporting young people
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills
• Ability to stay calm under pressure and respond with empathy
• A proactive, adaptable, and positive working style
• Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply)

⭐ Desirable (Not Essential)

• Experience in a SEND school, pastoral role, or SEN support
• Understanding of Autism, SEMH, trauma‑informed practice, or behaviour management
• Experience leading activities, coaching, or running sessions
• Driver with access to a car (preferred but not essential)
• Additional training such as safeguarding or first aid
