SEND Teaching Assistant – Inclusion Support (Wigan)

We are recruiting a Teaching Assistant to support pupils with autism and ADHD within an inclusion setting in a Wigan primary school. This role will involve working alongside teaching staff to provide targeted support, ensuring pupils can access the curriculum and feel included within the school environment.

You will assist with behaviour management, support emotional regulation, and help pupils develop confidence and independence. The role may involve working with different pupils across the school, requiring flexibility and a strong understanding of SEND support strategies.

This position is set to begin in October 2026 and is likely to continue for the duration of the academic year.

The ideal candidate will have experience supporting pupils with SEND, strong communication skills, and a proactive attitude. A commitment to supporting pupils’ individual needs and helping them succeed is essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
