1:1 SEND Teaching Assistant – Primary Schools in Doncaster

Start Date: Flexible / Ongoing
Contract Type: Full-time & Part-time roles available
Pay: £90 – £110 per day (dependent on experience)

Teaching Personnel is working in partnership with a number of inclusive and supportive primary schools across Doncaster to recruit dedicated 1:1 SEND Teaching Assistants.

This is a rewarding opportunity to provide focused, individual support to a pupil with additional needs and make a real difference to their learning and development.

The Role:

  • Providing 1:1 support for a pupil with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)

  • Supporting learning both in and out of the classroom

  • Assisting with academic tasks, emotional regulation, and social development

  • Implementing support strategies and individual education plans (IEPs)

  • Working closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and other professionals

  • Promoting a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Has experience supporting children with SEND (school or care-based experience considered)

  • Is patient, nurturing, and resilient

  • Demonstrates strong communication and behaviour management skills

  • Is committed to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing

  • Relevant TA or SEND qualifications are desirable but not essential

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
