SEND 1:1 Teaching Assistant

  • £95 – £105 per day

A supportive and inclusive primary school in Bedford is looking to appoint a SEND 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join their team after Easter. You’ll be working closely with a pupil on a 1:1 basis, providing tailored support to help them access learning, build confidence, and thrive within the classroom environment.

The school is part of a well-regarded multi-academy trust, offering a collaborative approach, strong SEN support structures, and opportunities to learn from experienced practitioners across multiple settings.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Provide dedicated 1:1 support for a pupil with SEND
  • Adapt learning activities to meet individual needs
  • Support emotional regulation and promote positive behaviour
  • Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO
  • Help create a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment

Essential Job Requirements:

  • Experience supporting children with SEND (school-based or similar)
  • Patient, nurturing, and resilient approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
