Job Title: SEN Tutor
Location: TS26, Hartlepool
Hours: Part-Time, Weekdays During School Hours
Pay Rate: Competitive, dependent on experience and qualifications

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Tutor to support children and young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in the TS26 Hartlepool area. This rewarding role involves delivering personalised one-to-one tuition during weekday school hours, helping students overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging and tailored 1:1 tuition sessions.
  • Support students with a range of SEN, including Autism, ADHD, SEMH, and learning difficulties.
  • Adapt lesson plans and teaching methods to meet individual learning needs.
  • Build positive and supportive relationships with pupils, families, and professionals.
  • Track student progress and maintain accurate records.
  • Promote confidence, independence, and academic achievement.

Essential Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of teaching or tutoring experience in the UK.
  • Experience working with children or young people with SEN.
  • Strong communication and behaviour management skills.
  • Ability to plan and deliver differentiated learning.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Reliable, patient, and committed approach to supporting learners.

Desirable

  • Teaching qualification, degree, or relevant educational background.
  • Experience delivering 1:1 tuition.
  • Knowledge of EHCPs and SEN support strategies.
