SEN Tutor Opportunities – Empower Learners Across Wareham
TP Tutors is seeking compassionate and motivated SEN Tutors to provide one-to-one educational support for children and young people across Wareham and nearby areas.
Role: SEN Tutor
Location: Wareham and surrounding areas
Hours: Flexible part-time and full-time positions available
About the Role
As an SEN Tutor, you will work with learners who need additional support outside of traditional classroom environments. Students may have a range of needs including Autism, ADHD, SEMH challenges, anxiety, or gaps in education.
You will create tailored learning sessions that help students grow in confidence, develop key skills, and make positive progress at a pace suited to their individual needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver personalised one-to-one tuition sessions
- Adapt resources and teaching strategies to suit different learners
- Encourage confidence, independence, and engagement with learning
- Support academic progress and emotional wellbeing
- Monitor development and adjust learning plans where needed
- Maintain positive communication with parents, carers, and professionals
- Create a calm, safe, and supportive learning environment
Who We’re Looking For
- Experience supporting children or young people is beneficial
- Applicants from teaching, tutoring, mentoring, or support backgrounds are encouraged to apply
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Patient, flexible, and empathetic approach
- Reliable and organised with a commitment to learner success
- Understanding of safeguarding responsibilities
- Ability to travel across Wareham and nearby locations

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
