SEN Tutor – Sheffield (S2)
Location: Sheffield (S2)
Hours: Part-time, weekdays during school hours
Pay: Competitive hourly rate (dependent on experience)
We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated SEN Tutor to provide personalised 1:1 tuition for a student with Special Educational Needs in the Sheffield (S2) area.
This is a rewarding opportunity for an experienced tutor, teacher, or education professional who is passionate about supporting children and young people with additional needs, helping them build confidence, overcome barriers to learning, and achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities

Deliver engaging and personalised 1:1 tuition tailored to the student's individual learning needs.

Adapt teaching strategies to support a range of Special Educational Needs (SEN).

Plan and deliver lessons that promote academic progress and confidence.

Monitor and record student progress, providing regular feedback.

Create a safe, positive, and supportive learning environment.

Build strong relationships with the student, family, and other professionals where appropriate.
Requirements
-
Experience working with children or young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN).

Experience delivering 1:1 tuition or teaching within a school or alternative education setting.

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is desirable but not essential for candidates with relevant SEN tutoring experience.

Strong communication and behaviour management skills.

Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).

Right to work in the UK.

Ability to provide professional references.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
