Job description

Not every student flourishes in a traditional classroom. With the right guidance and encouragement, alternative education can unlock incredible potential.

TP Tutors is seeking enthusiastic SEN Tutors in Poole to provide bespoke one-to-one tuition for learners who require additional support to re-engage with education.

Position: Specialist SEN Tutor 

Location: Poole and surrounding areas

Working Pattern: Flexible hours available

About the Role

You will work closely with students who benefit from a more individualised approach to learning. Sessions are designed to meet educational and emotional needs while helping learners gain confidence and independence.

Your Key Duties

  • Plan and deliver personalised tuition sessions
  • Support students with needs such as autism, ADHD, SEMH, and learning barriers
  • Adapt teaching methods to suit each learner’s abilities and interests
  • Build a safe, encouraging, and supportive learning environment
  • Deliver tuition in community venues or students’ homes
  • Help students develop both academically and emotionally

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) essential
  • Previous SEN or alternative provision experience preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Empathetic, resilient, and flexible attitude
  • Good understanding of safeguarding and child protection
  • Full willingness to travel across the local Poole area

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
