Job description

Inspire, Support, and Succeed — Join TP Tutors as a 1:1 Tutor

Are you passionate about helping students unlock their potential? Do you enjoy seeing confidence grow as understanding develops? If you're looking for a flexible, rewarding role where you can focus on truly making a difference — one student at a time — TP Tutors would love to hear from you.

We are expanding our team and inviting applications from motivated and committed educators to deliver 1:1 Maths, English, or Science tuition (KS1–KS4) to primary and secondary learners in your local area. Immediate opportunities are available.

Whether you're a qualified teacher, ECT, teaching assistant, cover supervisor, graduate, or experienced tutor, we welcome your application. If you have experience supporting young people and a genuine desire to help them succeed, this could be the perfect next step.

Why Choose 1:1 Tutoring?

Working one-to-one gives you the opportunity to:

  • Personalise lessons to meet each learner’s specific needs

  • Close knowledge gaps and strengthen essential skills

  • Build student confidence and independence

  • Teach in calm, focused environments (homes, libraries, community settings)

  • Clearly track and celebrate measurable progress

  • Develop meaningful, positive student relationships

With dedicated support, you’ll have the chance to create lasting academic and personal impact.

Who We’re Looking For

We’re keen to hear from individuals who:

  • Have experience working with children or young people in any capacity

  • Feel confident supporting Maths, English, or Science up to KS4

  • Can adapt teaching approaches to different learning styles and abilities

  • Communicate clearly and manage behaviour effectively

  • Are dependable, patient, and professional

  • Understand and prioritise safeguarding responsibilities

If you’re committed to education and looking for flexibility without compromising impact, we encourage you to apply.

Requirements

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one — we’ll support you through the process)

  • Right to work in the UK

  • Strong commitment to safeguarding and student wellbeing

What You’ll Receive

  • £25–£30 per hour (PAYE — no umbrella deductions)

  • Flexible hours that fit around your availability

  • Local placements to minimise travel

  • Ongoing support from a dedicated consultant

  • Free CPD and development opportunities

  • A variety of age groups, subjects, and settings to suit your experience

This role is ideal for educators seeking improved work-life balance while continuing to positively influence young lives.

If you’re ready for a flexible and fulfilling opportunity where your expertise truly makes a difference, apply today.
