Are you a passionate SEN educator based in Medway, Kent, looking for a flexible role where your expertise truly changes lives?
TP Tutors is expanding across Medway and wider Kent, and we are seeking dedicated, empathetic SEN Tutors to provide personalised 1:1 and small group tuition to children and young people with additional needs.
This is more than tutoring — it’s restoring confidence, rebuilding engagement, and transforming educational journeys.
Role Details
Role: SEN Tutor (1:1 & Specialist Support)
Location: Medway, Kent – learner homes / community settings / flexible delivery
Hours: Flexible – Part-Time or Full-Time
How You’ll Make a Difference
✔ Deliver engaging sessions aligned with EHCP targets and individual learning plans
✔ Support learners with ASD, ADHD, SEMH, MLD and other additional needs
✔ Assess starting points and create structured, achievable progression pathways
✔ Re-engage pupils who are out of mainstream education or finding school challenging
✔ Use differentiated and therapeutic-informed strategies
✔ Build strong, trusting relationships that promote emotional wellbeing
✔ Provide clear progress updates to families, schools, and TP Tutors
Your work will help learners rediscover belief in themselves and develop a positive relationship with education.
✅ What We’re Looking For
• Experience supporting children or young people with SEN
• Strong understanding of inclusive and adaptive teaching approaches
• Experience working with SEND and SEMH
• A patient, resilient, and nurturing approach
• Excellent safeguarding knowledge and professional conduct
• Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
