SEN Tutor - Blackburn (BB9)

Part-Time | Weekday School Hours

Are you a passionate and experienced educator with a background in supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? We are looking for a dedicated SEN Tutor to provide tailored one-to-one tuition for learners in the Blackburn (BB9) area.

The Role

As an SEN Tutor, you will work closely with students who require additional support, delivering personalised lessons that meet their individual learning needs. Your role will focus on helping students build confidence, overcome barriers to learning, and achieve positive educational outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging one-to-one tuition tailored to individual SEN requirements.
  • Adapt teaching methods and resources to suit different learning styles.
  • Create a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment.
  • Monitor student progress and provide regular feedback.
  • Work collaboratively with families and other professionals where required.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of teaching experience in the UK is essential.
  • Experience working with children or young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
  • Strong understanding of differentiated teaching strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach to learning support.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
  • Right to work in the UK.
