SEN Teaching Assistant – Resource Bases in Mainstream Primary Schools
Location: West Bromwich

Are you a caring, patient, and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant looking to make a real difference in children’s lives? We are currently recruiting passionate SEN Teaching Assistants to support pupils within resource bases across mainstream primary schools in West Bromwich and surrounding areas.
As an education recruitment agency, we work with a range of welcoming schools that provide specialist support for children with additional needs, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, speech and language needs, SEMH, and learning difficulties.
The Role
You will work within specialist resource bases attached to mainstream primary schools, supporting pupils both in small groups and on a 1:1 basis. The role may involve:
- Supporting children with a range of special educational needs
- Assisting with classroom activities and personalised learning plans
- Encouraging communication, social interaction, and independence
- Supporting emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies
- Working closely with teachers, SENCOs, and wider school staff
- Helping create a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environment
Requirements
- Experience working with children with SEN in a school, care, or support setting
- A patient, nurturing, and adaptable approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
- Relevant qualifications are desirable but not essential
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
