Teaching Assistant Required Immediately || Stevenage

FULL TIME TERM TIME ONLY- TEACHING ASSISTANT/TUTOR

 

A unique opportunity has arisen in a high achieving comprehensive school in Stevenage They require a full time Teaching Assistant, with experience at KS3, but willing to work in KS4 when required. They require the right candidate to join their team and who is committed to  and available in school or online heir high expectations and ethos of providing excellent quality learning opportunities, creative ideas and inspirational teaching.

The successful candidate will need to work with both small groups and 1:1 and show initiative, have high expectations and delivery to a high quality. This may involve planning, preparing and delivering learning activities for individuals/ groups; monitoring pupils and assessing, recording and reporting on pupils’ achievement, progress and development; providing general clerical administrative support, such as the production of resources and creation of displays.

 

We would like to appoint someone who:

• Has the enthusiasm, motivation and team spirit to join our friendly school

• Has experience of independently delivering lessons to groups of pupils in the absence of a class teacher

• Has a minimum of Grade C GCSE in English and Maths

• Has experience working with both SEND and gifted and talented pupils

• Has excellent knowledge of the National Curriculum

• Has experience of delivering a range of intervention and support programmes

• Will be a flexible and enthusiastic member of a team

• Will support the inclusive ethos of the school

• Has excellent behaviour management

• Is committed to the demands of working in a small school

• Has good command of spoken 'standard' English

• Is committed to staff development.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
