SEN Teaching Assistant

I am currently looking for local SEN Teaching assistants to work within a group of schools in the WF17 area. The positions within the schools are both long and short term, depending on your availability and experience. The schools are looking for hard working people who are able to maintain high standards whilst showing empathy and understanding at all times.

If you are an experienced Teaching Assistant who has worked in an SEN capacity within a Primary School and are looking for your next challenge, then I’d love to hear from you.

The Role:

The role involves working with students from Early Years through to Key stage 2. You will be tasked with assisting students with a potentially wide array of leaning difficulties to ensure they can best access the work set by the class teacher. The best candidates will also be able to assist the class teacher by informing them on student progress and learning strategies.

The Successful Candidate will:

• Have SEN experience in a primary setting.
• Be comfortable managing potentially difficult behaviour.
• Have experience differentiating tasks to students of differing abilities.
• Have an enhanced DBS on the Update service or be prepared to apply for one.
