Do you want to support the children who are most in need in your local school but not sure where to start? Do you know you have the right mindset and nature to help children but you don't have the necessary qualifications to work in a special needs school?

We can help! We have helped many amazing people start their career in education and now we have even more opportunities in a special needs school in Scarborough!

This school specialises in supporting children from the age of 5 to 18 with profound and multiple learning difficulties including complex needs. Therefore we are looking for the perfect somebody with a caring nature who can look after the most vulnerable and incredible children. Do you have the right personality for this?

Some of our best educators have come to us with very little experience. Here are some of the type of people who work well and we look for:

  • Support workers or care experience with adults or children with learning disabilities
  • Nannying or babysitting experience
  • recent graduates - particularly Psychology, Art and Criminology!
  • Carers of own family members or personal experience with disabilities
  • Teaching Assistants
  • Supporting children with disabilities

There are many roles at the school! Two full-time, two part-time and multiple flexible working options. The working day is 8:30 to 3:30 and no weekends! You will get paid £70 a day and you will get paid weekly!

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
