EYFS Teaching Assistant – Haringey

Teaching Personnel are working with a number of Primary schools in Haringey to recruit Teaching Assistants who have experience of working in EYFS classrooms.

This is a temporary role, due to start after Easter. There may be an opportunity to take on a permanent role within the school.

The role is within a highly reputable school that seeks to provide a safe, caring, and nurturing environment, as well as a broad and balanced curriculum that is accessible to all pupils.


  • Minimum 1 years’ experience working with EYFS pupils.
  • Experience providing 1:1 intervention.
  • Experience leading Phonics and word recognition activities.
  • Knowledge of Phonics packages (Read, Write, Inc, Letters and Sounds, Jolly Phonics).
  • Commitment to improving educational outcomes for all pupils regardless of their starting points.
  • Creative and adaptable teaching style.

As an EYFS Teaching Assistant, your main responsibilities will be to assist the class teacher in addressing any gaps in learning (following the disruption of Covid-19) and to prepare the children for entry into KS1.
