SEN TEACHING ASSISTANT - Brixton SW9

Role: Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant

January Start

 Teaching Personnel are currently working alongside an SEN primary school in Lambeth who are currently looking to appoint 2 SEN TAs to join their team in January.

The school is a SEN provision that provides support to children aged 4-16 with SEMH.

 

About the role

 • You will be working with a KS2 aged child with SEMH who can display challenging behaviour.

• This student is very bright and independent and requires little academic support, but needs someone to keep the motivated and to encourage the to perform to the best of their ability.

• The child has Autism and can display challenging behaviour at times.

 

About the candidate:

• The successful candidate will be energetic, charismatic and be able to build a good rapport with this student and make him feel valued and uphold his dignity at all times.

• Prior experience working with a wheelchair bound person would be advantageous, but not necessary as all training will be provided.

• The successful SEN TA will have prior experience working with Special Educational Needs.

• This position is opened to highly experienced candidates as well as graduates seeking to continue their career.

• This position would also suit care or youth workers wanting to transition into education.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
