1:1 Teaching Assistant – KS2 Resource Base (Part-Time or Full-Time)
Yeovil
Start Date: September 2026
£90–£95 per day
Term-to-term rolling temporary contract

A well-respected and welcoming primary school in Yeovil is seeking a caring and committed 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join their team from September 2026.

This rewarding role will involve providing dedicated 1:1 support for a pupil with additional needs in Key Stage 2, working within the school’s resource base to help them access learning, build confidence, and thrive in a supportive environment tailored to their needs.

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Experienced working with children in a school, nursery, childcare, or similar setting
  • Passionate about supporting children with additional needs
  • Calm, patient, and able to build positive relationships
  • Flexible and proactive in adapting support to meet individual needs
  • Comfortable working within a resource base setting and as part of a wider support team
  • Available on either a part-time or full-time basis

Previous SEN experience would be highly beneficial, but it is not essential. If you have experience working with children and a genuine interest in supporting pupils with additional needs, full training can be provided through our CPD academy, including:

  • Thrive Training
  • Speech & Language support
  • Additional SEND-focused professional development

This is a term-to-term rolling temporary role, offering the opportunity to work within a supportive school environment, gain specialist SEND experience, and make a genuine difference to a child’s education.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
