Job description
SEN Teaching Assistant - Autumn term
Mainstream Primary School
We are seeking a caring, patient and committed SEN Teaching Assistant to join our supportive team in a friendly mainstream primary school.
The successful candidate will work closely with class teachers and the SENCo to support pupils with special educational needs, helping them to access the curriculum and reach their full potential within the classroom environment.
The Role:
- Providing tailored support to pupils with SEN on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
- Supporting learning, behaviour and emotional wellbeing
- Adapting activities and resources to meet individual needs
- Promoting inclusion, independence and confidence
- Working collaboratively with staff, parents and external professionals
The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Have experience working with children with SEN (e.g. ASD, ADHD, speech and language needs)
- Be patient, flexible and nurturing
- Have strong communication and teamwork skills
- Be enthusiastic about supporting children’s learning and development
- Hold relevant qualifications or training (desirable but not essential)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
