SEN Teaching Assistant

Contract type: Full-time, permanent
We are working with a SEN Trust within the Stockport area to recruit Teaching Assistants, to join a pro-active specialist school that aims to do the very best for each young person attending the school.
The school Trust cater for pupils with complex communication and education needs, alongside students with complex needs, learning disabilities, Autism and sensory impairments. Catering to students aged 5-18, across multiple sites.
Each site has specialised facilities within to support pupils’ learning, including specialised classrooms, sensory areas and a high staff to student ratio.
The ideal SEN Teaching Assistant would have:
- Experience in care or education settings
- Understanding of complex needs, learning disabilities, Autism, sensory impairments
- Empathy, resilience and excellent communication skills
- Enthusiasm and commitment to positive outcomes
- An Enhanced child & adult DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one through Teaching Personnel

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
