SEN Teaching Assistant – Primary School
Salisbury
£90–£95 per day
Full-Time | Starting September 2026
A welcoming and supportive primary school in the heart of Salisbury is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full-time basis from September 2026.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with previous experience supporting young pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) who is passionate about making a positive difference in the classroom.
The Role
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with additional needs
- Help pupils follow classroom timetables and daily routines
- Support children during out-of-classroom activities
- Work closely with the class teacher and SENCo to implement tailored support strategies
- Encourage positive behaviour, engagement, and independence
- Create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment
Requirements
- Previous experience working with children with Special Educational Needs
- Experience within a primary school setting is desirable
- A patient, caring, and proactive approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A genuine passion for supporting young learners

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
