SEN Teaching Assistant – 1:1 Support (Year 2)

Location: BH24
Position: Full Time
Start Date: April 2026

Are you a patient, caring, and committed SEN Teaching Assistant looking for a full-time role from Easter? We are working closely with a welcoming primary school in Ringwood who are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a Year 2 pupil with ADHD.

This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who understands the importance of consistency, structure, and positive relationships, while ensuring the child is safe, supported, and engaged throughout the school day.

The Role:

  • Provide tailored 1:1 support for a Year 2 pupil with ADHD

  • Support focus, emotional regulation, and engagement in learning

  • Use clear routines, positive reinforcement, and behaviour strategies

  • Work closely with the class teacher and SENCo to follow support plans

  • Ensure the child’s safety and wellbeing at all times, both in and out of the classroom

  • Encourage independence, confidence, and positive behaviour

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Experience supporting children with ADHD and/or additional needs

  • Calm, patient, and proactive with strong behaviour management skills

  • Confident supporting children who may need movement breaks and structure

  • Committed to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
