Sen Teaching Assistant
Job description
1:1 Teaching Assistant – Ringwood | 5 Mornings Per Week | September Start
Do you have a passion for helping children thrive? Are you looking for a rewarding role where you can genuinely make a difference every single day?
Teaching Personnel is working with a welcoming and supportive primary school in Ringwood that is looking to appoint a caring and committed 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a pupil on a 5 mornings per week basis.
This is a part-time position, working Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 12:30pm, making it an ideal opportunity for someone looking for school-friendly hours while still having a meaningful impact on a child's education.
This role is all about providing consistent, tailored support to help a child feel confident, included and successful within the classroom. You'll work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to ensure the pupil can access learning, develop positive relationships and reach their full potential in a nurturing environment.
Every day will be different. One moment you could be supporting learning activities in the classroom, the next you could be encouraging social interaction, celebrating achievements or helping the child overcome challenges with patience and understanding. It's a role where the small moments really do make the biggest difference.
The successful candidate will:
- Be kind, patient and empathetic.
- Have experience working with children or young people (school experience is desirable but not essential).
- Be confident supporting pupils with additional needs and adapting to individual learning styles.
- Build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents.
- Have a genuine passion for helping children grow in confidence, both academically and emotionally.
In return, you'll be joining a friendly school community where your support will be valued, alongside the ongoing guidance and support from the Teaching Personnel team.
If you're looking for a role where you can have a lasting impact on a child's education and wellbeing, we'd love to hear from you.
