SEN Teaching Assistant – Poole | September Start

Teaching Personnel are currently working with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Poole who are looking to appoint a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team from September.

This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a supportive school community where you'll play a key role in helping children with additional needs grow in confidence, develop academically and enjoy their learning journey.

Whether you have previous experience supporting children with SEN, have worked in care, or simply have the right attitude and a genuine passion for making a difference, we'd love to hear from you.

The Role

• Supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs on a 1:1 basis and in small groups.
• Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to deliver tailored support.
• Encouraging independence, confidence and positive behaviour.
• Creating a safe, nurturing and engaging learning environment.
• Helping children overcome barriers to learning and celebrating every achievement along the way.

We're Looking For Someone Who:

• Is kind, patient and enthusiastic.
• Has excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Can remain calm and adaptable in different situations.
• Has experience working with children or vulnerable individuals (desirable but not essential).
• Holds, or is happy to apply for, an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service.
