SEN Teaching Assistant – Ages 5–15
Full-time | Immediate Start | Poole
We are working in partnership with a highly regarded education setting in Poole that is known for its inclusive ethos, strong pastoral care, and commitment to supporting every child to succeed.

The Role
This is a full-time SEN Teaching Assistant position supporting pupils aged 5–15. Working hours are 8.45am to 4.15pm.
Primary-based work is available, with opportunities to support children across a range of ages.
You will work closely with teaching staff to support learning in the classroom, help pupils engage with activities, and provide consistent support that encourages confidence, independence, and progress.
An immediate start is available for the right candidate.
Student Needs
Pupils may present with a range of special educational needs, including autism spectrum conditions, learning difficulties, communication needs, and social, emotional or behavioural challenges.
The school places a strong emphasis on understanding each child as an individual and providing tailored support in a calm and structured setting.
Requirements
Applicants must have a minimum of 6 months’ childcare experience, particularly supporting children with SEN needs.
Experience working in an educational or care setting is highly desirable. You should be patient, adaptable, and confident building positive relationships with children, with a supportive and inclusive approach to learning.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
