SEN Teaching Assistant
Job description
We are recruiting a caring and motivated SEN Teaching Assistant to support children aged 5–15 within a specialist educational setting. This is a full-time position with an immediate start, working 8.45am to 4.15pm, Monday to Friday. You will be joining a high-quality specialist provision that is recognised for its nurturing ethos and commitment to inclusion. The school offers:

Pupils have a range of Special Educational Needs, including: Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN), Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and Associated learning and developmental difficulties
Key Responsibilities

Support pupils 1:1 and in small groups

Assist with learning activities and emotional regulation

Encourage positive behaviour and engagement

Work closely with teachers and specialist staff
Requirements
-
Minimum 6 months childcare experience, particularly supporting children
-
Experience supporting children with SEN is highly desirable
-
A patient, flexible and caring approach
-
Strong communication and teamwork skills

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
