Part-Time SEN Teaching Assistant (1:1 Support)

Start Date: September 2026
Location: BH15 Area
Contract: Part-Time

Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a pupil within a welcoming mainstream primary school in the BH15 area.

This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is passionate about helping children overcome barriers to learning and reach their full potential. Working closely with school staff, you will support a pupil with additional needs both academically and socially throughout the school day.

The Role:

  • Provide dedicated 1:1 support for a pupil with Special Educational Needs.
  • Assist the pupil in accessing learning activities and participating in classroom routines.
  • Support social, emotional, and behavioural development.
  • Build positive relationships with the pupil, staff, and parents/carers.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and the SENCO to implement support strategies.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Has experience working with children or young people, particularly those with additional needs (desirable).
  • Is patient, caring, and adaptable.
  • Demonstrates strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Has a genuine passion for supporting children's development and wellbeing.
  • Is committed to creating an inclusive learning environment.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
