Full-Time SEN Teaching Assistants – Primary Schools (Plymouth Area)
Full-Time | Term Time Only | Competitive Pay

Start Date: ASAP and Ongoing

Teaching Personnel are seeking several full-time SEN Teaching Assistants to support primary schools across Plymouth and the surrounding areas.

With an increasing need for additional support in schools, we are looking for individuals who are passionate about helping pupils with special educational needs to succeed both academically and emotionally.

The Role:

  • Providing dedicated support to pupils with SEN, either on a 1:1 basis or within small groups
  • Assisting the class teacher in delivering tailored learning activities
  • Supporting pupils’ social, emotional, and behavioural development
  • Encouraging engagement and participation in lessons
  • Helping to maintain a calm, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment

About You:

  • Experience working with children, ideally within an SEN or educational setting
  • A calm, patient, and empathetic approach
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships
  • Flexible and reliable, with a willingness to adapt to different school settings
  • Holds an enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or is willing to apply for one

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
