Sen Teaching Assistant

We are currently recruiting Unqualified SEN Teaching Assistants to support pupils across a variety of schools and specialist provisions throughout the Norwich area. This rewarding role offers the opportunity to support children and young people with a range of additional needs, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), ADHD, Speech and Language Difficulties, SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) needs, and Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD).

Key Responsibilities

• Provide tailored support to pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs.
• Work closely with teaching staff and SENCOs to implement individual learning and behaviour support plans.
• Encourage student participation, engagement, and independence within the classroom.
• Support the development of literacy, numeracy, communication, and essential life skills.
• Help students develop positive relationships and social skills.
• Promote emotional wellbeing, self-regulation, and positive behaviour.
• Create a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment where every child feels valued.

What We're Looking For

• Experience working with children or young people, ideally within an SEN, education, care, or support setting.
• A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs.
• Patience, empathy, resilience, and a positive attitude.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• The ability to adapt to the individual needs of different students.
• A proactive approach to supporting learning and encouraging positive outcomes.
• A commitment to ongoing professional development.
• A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential, as travel to schools and specialist provisions across Norwich and the surrounding areas may be required.
