Job description

A specialist all-through school in Northwich is looking to appoint a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join its experienced team. The school caters for children and young people aged 2–19 with a wide range of complex and profound learning needs, including autism, sensory processing difficulties, physical disabilities, and communication challenges.

This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday, with an immediate start. You’ll be working closely with the class teacher and therapy teams to support pupils with their learning, behaviour, and social development. Daily responsibilities will include one-to-one support, assisting with personal care, preparing classroom resources, and helping deliver engaging, multi-sensory lessons.

The school offers a calm, structured and nurturing environment with a strong emphasis on holistic development and communication. Staff are well-supported with specialist training and a team ethos that values collaboration and respect.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with previous SEN experience or a strong interest in developing a career in specialist education. Pay is £90–£100 per day depending on experience.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
