SEN Teaching Assistant – Full-Time | Moston | May Start

Teaching Personnel is delighted to be working with a friendly and inclusive primary school in Moston, who are seeking a committed SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team full-time from May. This role runs 8:30am – 3:30pm and centres on providing tailored support to pupils with Special Educational Needs through both 1:1 and small group intervention.

Your Role Will Include

  • Delivering focused support to pupils with SEN on a one-to-one basis and in small groups
  • Assisting the class teacher with planning and delivering personalised learning activities
  • Supporting the implementation and review of Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Helping to maintain a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment
  • Working closely with class teachers, the SENCO, and external professionals to track progress
  • Adapting resources and strategies to meet the evolving needs of each pupil

What We’re Looking For

  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
  • Previous experience supporting children with SEN
  • A patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • A commitment to safeguarding and pupil welfare
  • Level 2 Safeguarding qualification (or willingness to complete training)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
