1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant

Location: Toxteth, Liverpool
Role: 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant | Primary School

We are seeking a caring, patient and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support to a non-verbal child at a welcoming primary school in Toxteth.

 

The Role

You will:

  • Provide dedicated 1:1 support throughout the school day.

  • Help the child access learning and develop independence.

  • Support communication, interaction and engagement.

  • Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO.

  • Build a positive, trusting relationship with the child.

About You

The ideal candidate will be:

  • Passionate about supporting children with SEND.

  • Patient, resilient and nurturing.

  • Confident providing individual support.

  • Experienced working with children with additional needs, ideally including non-verbal pupils.

  • Knowledge of PECS, Makaton, autism or alternative communication methods would be advantageous.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
