We are currently seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant for an immediate-start position supporting a specialist school in Ipswich, working with students aged 5–16 who have complex Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD).

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous SEN experience, although candidates with strong transferable skills will also be considered. The school is looking for someone who can build positive relationships with pupils, provide consistent support, and confidently contribute to a nurturing and structured learning environment.

The Role

• Supporting pupils aged 5–16 with complex MLD and additional needs
• Providing 1:1 and small-group support both inside and outside the classroom
• Supporting learning, communication, engagement and personal development
• Working closely with teachers and the wider support team
• Helping create a safe, inclusive and positive environment for all pupils
• Supporting pupils with individual needs and encouraging their independence

About You

• Previous SEN experience is highly preferred
• Transferable experience working with children, young people or individuals with additional needs will be considered
• Patient, resilient and confident in supporting pupils with complex needs
• Able to build positive and trusting relationships with children
• Reliable, proactive and adaptable
• Full driving licence is essential
• Available for an immediate start
