SEN Teaching Assistant – Full-Time | Immediate Start

Are you passionate about supporting children and young people with additional needs?

We are currently looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a specialist school on a full-time basis in Bury St Edmunds, with an immediate start available.

You will be supporting pupils with highly complex needs, so previous experience working within a specialist school or similar setting is highly desirable. A strong background in care would also be considered, as personal care will be an essential part of the role.

The ideal candidate:

• Has previous SEN school experience – highly desirable
• SEMH experience is also welcomed
• Alternatively, you may have transferable skills from education, care, support work, youth work or similar settings
• Is confident supporting children and young people with a range of additional needs
• Is patient, resilient, compassionate and committed to making a positive difference
• Has a full driving licence – essential
• Has an Enhanced Child-Only DBS on the Update Service – highly advantageous and can help fast-track your application

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
