Behaviour Specialist Teaching Assistant – ASAP Start (After May Half Term)
Location: Haywards Heath
A friendly and supportive primary school in Haywards Heath is looking for a Behaviour Specialist Teaching Assistant to join their team after the May half term.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with children and can confidently support pupils with behavioural needs and Special Educational Needs (SEN).
The Role
- Support pupils with behaviour and emotional needs
- Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO
- Promote positive behaviour and engagement in learning
- Help create a safe, supportive classroom environment
What We’re Looking For
- Experience working with children or young people (school experience preferred)
- A calm, patient, and resilient approach
- A genuine interest in supporting pupils with SEN
- DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
- Basic safeguarding understanding (training can be provided)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
