A well-established school in Havant is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join its supportive team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about education and wants to make a positive difference to the learning, development and wellbeing of pupils.
The Role
You will work closely with class teachers and the school's SEN team to provide tailored support to pupils with a range of additional needs. Every day will be different, with the opportunity to help pupils overcome challenges, develop their confidence and become more independent learners.
Your duties will include:

Supporting pupils on a one-to-one and small-group basis.

Helping children access the curriculum and participate fully in classroom activities.

Providing additional support with literacy, numeracy and other areas of learning.

Encouraging positive social and emotional development.

Supporting pupils with communication, concentration and engagement.

Helping to promote positive behaviour and maintain a calm learning environment.

Following individual support strategies and contributing to pupils' progress.

Working closely with teachers, SEN staff and other professionals.

Building positive and trusting relationships with pupils.

Promoting inclusion, independence and confidence throughout the school day.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
