One of our partnership Primary schools in Hackney are looking for passionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to join their team for the new academic year!

The school has fantastic facilities and focuses on a child centred approach to give every child the best opportunity to succeed.

In this role as an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Support the class teacher in the delivery of lessons and creative activities
• Support children in small groups and on a 1:1 basis
• Create a safe and fun learning environment for children to reach their full potential.
• Record Assessment of children’s learning and development

The school are looking for an SEN Teaching Assistant who has:

• Experience working with SEN children in a school/care environment.
• A calm and positive attitude and personality.
• The ability to form good relationships with children and staff.
• Personal care or moving and handling experience is desirable.

As part of safer recruitment guidelines all applicants would be subject to standard vetting checks including the obtainment of:

• Two most previous employment references
• Registering an enhanced DBS on the update service
• Applicants who have lived outside of the UK for 6 months or more in the last 5 years will be required to present an overseas criminal check (Police check)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
