This is a varied, hands-on role where you'll work alongside teaching staff to support pupils with a range of academic, social, and behavioural needs. You'll help maintain a positive learning environment, build strong relationships with pupils, and provide the consistency many young people need to succeed.

No two days are the same, so we're looking for people who can think on their feet, stay calm under pressure, and approach challenges with confidence.

The Role

As an Unqualified Teaching Assistant, you'll support pupils both inside and outside the classroom, helping them stay engaged and make progress throughout the school day.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting pupils with a variety of learning and behavioural needs
  • Assisting with literacy and numeracy activities
  • Encouraging positive behaviour through clear boundaries and consistency
  • Helping to create a safe, structured, and inclusive classroom environment
  • Working closely with teachers and other school staff to support pupil development

What We're Looking For

Previous experience in education, care, sports coaching, youth work, or similar settings is beneficial, but it isn't essential. We're more interested in your attitude, resilience, and ability to build positive relationships.

Successful applicants will be:

  • Calm, confident, and dependable
  • Resilient and able to work effectively under pressure
  • Strong communicators with a proactive approach
  • Flexible and comfortable working across different school environments
  • Committed to supporting young people to achieve their potential

What You'll Receive

  • Access to CPD training and ongoing professional development
  • A Guaranteed Work Scheme for eligible applicants, offering pay even when work isn't available on a particular day
  • Competitive weekly pay, with enhanced rates for longer travel or extended hours
  • Straightforward online systems for bookings and timesheets
  • Ongoing support from a dedicated consultant

Essential Requirement

A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle are essential, as travel between schools may be required at short notice.
