Unqualified Teaching Assistant – Great Yarmouth
We're currently recruiting adaptable and reliable individuals to support schools across the Great Yarmouth area as Unqualified Teaching Assistants.
This is a varied, hands-on role where you'll work alongside teaching staff to support pupils with a range of academic, social, and behavioural needs. You'll help maintain a positive learning environment, build strong relationships with pupils, and provide the consistency many young people need to succeed.
No two days are the same, so we're looking for people who can think on their feet, stay calm under pressure, and approach challenges with confidence.
The Role
As an Unqualified Teaching Assistant, you'll support pupils both inside and outside the classroom, helping them stay engaged and make progress throughout the school day.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting pupils with a variety of learning and behavioural needs
- Assisting with literacy and numeracy activities
- Encouraging positive behaviour through clear boundaries and consistency
- Helping to create a safe, structured, and inclusive classroom environment
- Working closely with teachers and other school staff to support pupil development
What We're Looking For
Previous experience in education, care, sports coaching, youth work, or similar settings is beneficial, but it isn't essential. We're more interested in your attitude, resilience, and ability to build positive relationships.

Essential Requirement
A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle are essential, as travel between schools may be required at short notice.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
