We are seeking a motivated and knowledgeable SEN Support Worker to join a specialist autism provision in Enfield. This is a fantastic opportunity to work alongside experienced educators in a rewarding environment that supports children with identified Special Educational Needs and Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
As an SEN Support Worker, you will work closely with the class teacher to support pupils with autism, helping them access learning, develop independence and achieve their individual goals. You will play a key role in creating a positive, structured and nurturing learning environment where every child can thrive.
The provision benefits from dedicated specialist facilities, including sensory spaces, access to outdoor learning areas and a large site designed to support pupils' educational and developmental needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Support pupils with autism both within the classroom and during wider school activities.
- Work collaboratively with the class teacher and wider support team.
- Implement strategies and interventions tailored to individual EHCP targets.
- Encourage positive behaviour, social development and communication skills.
- Help create an inclusive, engaging and supportive learning environment.
The Ideal Candidate
- Experience supporting children or young people with SEN, particularly autism, is desirable.
- A patient, adaptable and resilient approach.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- The ability to remain calm and positive in challenging situations.
- A genuine passion for helping children reach their full potential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
