Inspire Progress Through Specialist Support
Teaching Personnel are working alongside a highly regarded specialist provision in Wiltshire to recruit a compassionate and proactive SEN Teaching Assistant for a permanent opportunity starting as soon as possible.
This rewarding role involves supporting children and young people aged 4–19 with a diverse range of additional learning requirements including autism, communication differences, complex needs and social-emotional barriers to education.
This setting is recognised for its nurturing atmosphere, values-led ethos and commitment to personalised education. Staff are encouraged to think creatively, work collaboratively and build meaningful relationships which allow pupils to flourish both academically and emotionally.
As a Learning Support professional, you will become part of a committed multidisciplinary team focused on delivering engaging and therapeutic learning experiences. No two days are the same, making this position ideal for someone adaptable, energetic and resilient.
Your Responsibilities Will Include
- Providing tailored classroom assistance across different age groups and learning pathways
- Supporting sensory-based activities, outdoor learning and practical interventions
- Encouraging communication, emotional regulation and positive engagement
- Assisting pupils during hydrotherapy and enrichment sessions where required
- Building trusting connections with learners who may struggle with confidence or anxiety
- Working closely with teachers, therapists and pastoral staff to maintain consistent support
- Promoting independence, self-esteem and social development
- Helping create a calm, stimulating and inclusive environment

- Patient, empathetic and calm under pressure
- Passionate about SEND education and pupil wellbeing
- Able to use initiative while also thriving within a collaborative team
- Confident adapting support strategies to meet individual needs
- Strong communicator with a positive and encouraging approach
- Previous SEN experience beneficial but not essential

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
