SEN Teaching Assistant – Cranleigh

Primary & Secondary Ages | Permanent Position

We are currently recruiting compassionate, reliable, and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants for a specialist school in Cranleigh supporting both primary and secondary-aged students.

This is a rewarding opportunity to make a genuine difference in the lives of children and young people with additional needs within a supportive and nurturing environment.

The Role

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Support students with a range of special educational needs
  • Work closely with teaching staff to deliver tailored learning support
  • Provide one-to-one and small group assistance
  • Support students with emotional regulation, communication, and engagement
  • Assist with personal care where required
  • Help create a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience working with children or young people with SEN (preferred but not essential)
  • A caring, patient, and resilient approach
  • Confidence supporting students with additional needs and behaviours
  • Willingness to provide personal care support
  • Access to a car and a full driving licence due to the school’s location
  • Availability for full-time work or a minimum of 3 days per week
  • Mandatory availability on Tuesdays and Wednesdays

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
