Job description

Supply Teaching Assistant (SEND)
Location: Darlington 
Start Date: September (Autumn Term) 
Contract: Supply / Flexible 

We are currently recruiting for a dedicated and compassionate Supply SEND Teaching Assistant to work across schools in the Darlington area from September for the Autumn Term.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual who is passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and is looking for flexible, rewarding work within education.

The Role:

- Supporting pupils with a range of SEND, including ASD, ADHD, and SEMH needs 
- Working 1:1 or in small groups to provide tailored support 
- Assisting the class teacher to create an inclusive learning environment 
- Promoting positive behaviour and engagement in learning 

The Ideal Candidate Will:

- Have experience working with children or young people with SEND 
- Be patient, adaptable, and nurturing in their approach 
- Have strong communication and teamwork skills 
- Be committed to making a positive impact on pupils’ development

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
