SEN Teaching Assistant – North Cheshire Area
Support. Encourage. Empower.
We are looking for a caring and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join specialist schools across the North Cheshire area on a full-time, temp-to-perm basis.
You will support students with Special Educational Needs (SEN), including SEMH, Autism, ADHD, and additional learning needs, helping to create a positive, nurturing, and engaging learning environment.
Role Details
Location: North Cheshire Area
Contract: Full-time, Temp to Perm
Start Date: Immediate
Pay: £90 – £120 per day
Key Responsibilities
• Support students on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
• Assist teachers in delivering engaging lessons and activities
• Support students with SEN, SEMH, and behavioural needs
• Encourage positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
• Create a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment
• Work closely with teaching staff, SENCOs, and pastoral teams
Requirements
• Experience working within SEN, SEMH, or education settings preferred
• Strong communication and behaviour management skills
• Patient, adaptable, and proactive approach
• Passion for supporting children and young people
• Full UK driving licence and own vehicle preferred

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
