Experienced SEN Teaching Assistant – Primary School | Chichester
Are you an experienced and passionate SEN Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding new opportunity from September?
We are currently looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Chichester, working within their Specialist Support Centre (SSC).
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs and helping them achieve their full potential.
The role will involve:
- Working as part of the school's dedicated SSC team
- Providing tailored one-to-one and small-group support
- Supporting pupils with a range of additional needs
- Helping children access learning and develop their independence
- Supporting communication, social and emotional development
- Managing behaviour positively and consistently
- Working closely with teachers, SEN staff and other professionals
- Creating a calm, safe and nurturing environment where every child can thrive
We are looking for someone who:
- Has previous experience working with children with SEN
- Ideally has experience working within a specialist provision, SSC, SEND setting or similar
- Is patient, resilient and compassionate
- Has a good understanding of individualised support
- Is confident supporting children with a range of needs and abilities
- Is reliable, proactive and able to work effectively as part of a team
- Is passionate about making a positive difference to children's lives

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
