Teaching Assistant (ALN Schools) – Carmarthenshire
Agency: Teaching Personnel
Pay: £14.25 per hour
⏰ Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm (Monday–Friday)
About the Role
Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistants to support pupils in Additional Learning Needs (ALN) schools across the Carmarthenshire area.
This is a highly rewarding opportunity to make a real impact by supporting children and young people with a range of additional needs, helping them to thrive and reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with ALN
- Assist teachers in delivering tailored lessons and interventions
- Support pupils with social, emotional, and behavioural needs
- Help create a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
- Encourage independence, confidence, and positive behaviour
✅ Requirements
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (essential)
- Registered with the Education Workforce Council (EWC) or willing to register
- Experience working with children or individuals with ALN (desirable)
- Relevant qualifications (e.g. CACHE Level 2/3, Supporting Teaching & Learning, or similar) are advantageous
- A patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach
- Full UK driving licence (desirable, but not essential)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
