Full-Time SEN Teaching Assistant Required – Immediate Start Available

Are you passionate about supporting children and young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? Do you have the dedication, patience, and enthusiasm to help students reach their full potential?

We are currently recruiting for a full-time SEN Teaching Assistant to provide ongoing cover within a specialist SEN provision that operates across mainstream primary and secondary school settings.

This is a rewarding opportunity to work with pupils who require additional support with their learning, social development, communication, and emotional wellbeing. You will be joining a supportive and committed team focused on creating positive educational outcomes for every learner.

The Role

  • Supporting pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs in both primary and secondary settings.
  • Working closely with teachers and SEN professionals to deliver tailored support.
  • Assisting students both within the classroom and during intervention sessions.
  • Encouraging engagement, confidence, independence, and positive behaviour.
  • Building strong, professional relationships with pupils, staff, and families.

Essential Requirements

Enhanced Child Only DBS registered on the Update Service – applicants meeting this requirement will be fast-tracked through the recruitment process.

Full UK Driving Licence – this is an essential requirement due to the rural location of the schools and limited public transport access.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
