Teaching Personnel are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming secondary SEN school in Bury this September.

Supporting students aged 11-19 with a range of additional needs, you'll play a vital role in helping young people build confidence, develop independence and achieve their full potential in a structured and supportive environment.

The Role

Working closely with teachers and specialist staff, you will:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support for students with SEN
  • Support learning and classroom engagement
  • Promote communication, social and emotional development
  • Build positive, trusting relationships with students
  • Help maintain a safe, inclusive and nurturing learning environment
  • Encourage independence and celebrate student progress
  • Work collaboratively with school staff and external professionals

What We're Looking For

  • Experience working with children or young people
  • SEN experience is desirable but not essential
  • A patient, caring and adaptable approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • A genuine passion for supporting young people with additional needs
  • Full-time availability
