SEN Teaching Assistant

Location: North‑West Bristol
Pay: £92–£105 per day
Hours: Monday–Friday, term time only
Start: September (with the possibility of immediate work)

We are working with a friendly and supportive primary school in the north‑west Bristol area who are looking to appoint a caring and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant.

This is a school-based role supporting pupils with a range of additional needs. The position may involve 1:1 or small-group support, working closely with pupils across the school day.

The role may include:

• Providing 1:1 or small‑group support for pupils with SEN, which may include
  SEMH, learning difficulties, ADHD, autism, and physical disabilities
• Supporting children to access learning and engage positively in the classroom
• Helping with emotional regulation, confidence, and social development
• Assisting with classroom routines and activities
• Working collaboratively with class teachers and the SEN team

The ideal candidate:

• Patient, empathetic, and resilient
• Has experience working with children or young people (required)
• School-based experience is not essential
• Experience may come from care work, youth work, church or community groups, holiday camps, or personal experience supporting a family member
• Passionate about supporting children with additional needs
• Able to commit to full-time, term-time hours
