1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant – Primary School
Location: Bournemouth, Dorset
Start Date: September 2026
Hours: Full-Time | Monday to Friday

Teaching Personnel is currently recruiting on behalf of one of our fantastic mainstream primary schools in Bournemouth for a compassionate and committed 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to support a Year 2 pupil from September.
This is more than just a classroom role. You'll play a key part in helping one child feel safe, engaged and confident throughout their school day, giving them the encouragement and consistency they need to flourish both academically and personally.
What You'll Be Doing
No two days are the same, but your responsibilities will include:
- Providing consistent 1:1 support throughout the school day.
- Helping the pupil access learning in a way that works for them.
- Encouraging positive behaviour, confidence and independence.
- Supporting emotional wellbeing and helping to build strong relationships.
- Working alongside the class teacher and SENCO to deliver personalised support.
- Adapting activities and resources to suit the child's individual needs.
- Monitoring progress and celebrating achievements every step of the way.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
